Optimising Female Athlete Health and Performance

About Issy
I have been immersed in high-performance sport my entire life with football triathlon, and now HYROX - competing at the 2025 World Champs in Chicago.
Like many driven athletes, my pursuit of excellence came with challenges. I spent six years battling REDs (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport), which taught me that high performance cannot exist without health as its foundation.

Academically, I hold a Master’s in Nutrition and a Master’s in Sport Science, and I’m currently completing my PhD focusing on menstrual cycle tracking in youth female athletes. Alongside my research, I work as the Head of Female Sport Science with the Wellington Phoenix FC, supporting elite female footballers in their physical development and long-term health & performance.

My approach is grounded in the belief that health and wellbeing are the foundation of sustainable success. Through a female-centric lens, I combine scientific evidence, applied practice, and lived athletic experience to optimise performance in a way that is individualised, empowering, and built to last.
